Staff ring up a sale by picking items from the store's catalog, taking payment (including split payments across more than one method), and printing a receipt. Delivery fees, taxes, and returns are handled as part of the same sale, not a separate step. Every sale is saved to a searchable sales history the moment it's completed.
Each store keeps its own catalog of items for sale, with size, category, cost price, and retail price recorded per item. A built-in barcode scanner (using the device's own camera, no extra hardware) links a scanned barcode to a catalog item so stock counts go up and down automatically as items are received and sold.
When an item is delivered, the driver or staff member opens the sale on their phone and attaches proof-of-delivery photos directly to that sale's record, timestamped and stored alongside the sale itself. There's no separate delivery log to keep in sync by hand.
Every printed receipt includes a QR code. Customers who scan it are sent straight to the store's Google review page, turning a satisfied purchase into a review request without any extra work from staff.
Store owners can see today's sales, sales over any date range, best-selling items, revenue and profit by payment method, and where customers heard about the store, updated in real time as sales are entered. A built-in AI assistant answers plain-language questions about the store's own sales and inventory data directly, without requiring a separate report to be built first.
Store data is backed up nightly and can be exported by the store owner at any time from Settings. Ledger Systems runs on any device with a web browser, phone, tablet, or computer, with the same login and the same data on all of them.
